Louise O'Connor, 89


Lynn, MA — Mrs. Louise (Sheehan) O’Connor, age 89, of Lynn, died peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Union Hospital, Lynn. She was the wife of Walter J. O’Connor, with whom she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary on November 8.

Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Looney) Sheehan. She grew up in East Boston and graduated from East Boston High School. She lived in Lynn for most of her life.

For several years Louise worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She later was the secretary of Our Lady of the Assumption School, Lynnfield, for 13 years. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Louise and Walter enjoyed ballroom dancing. Louise also enjoyed roller skating and was an avid Boston sports fan. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband she leaves her children, Maureen Henderson of Rockport, Tim O’Connor and his wife, Denise, of Danvers, Mary Scally and her husband, Patrick, of Bradford and John O’Connor of Bradford; her grandchildren, Steven Henderson, Erin Welcome, Katie Tedesco, Ryan Scally, Shannon Shea, Heather O’Connor and Colby O’Connor. She also leaves 10 great-grandchildren; a cousin, Jack Humphrey of CA, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Carol O’Connor and sister of the late Daniel Sheehan.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn.
