Paul N. Chalifour, 84

BEVERLY — Paul N. Chalifour, 84, beloved husband to the joy of his life, Patricia (Bushey) Chalifour, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, passed away Monday, November 19, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Salem, he is the son of the late Alvah A. and Fabiola (Lessard) Chalifour.

Paul grew up in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School. He was a Beverly businessman who owned and operated TV Video, LTD., on Cabot Street in Beverly for many years. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Danvers, Second Order, a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of BPOE 1309, past president of the Electronic Technician’s Guild of Massachusetts, a Cub Scout Master, coached Midget Football and also helped organize the Beverly Cardinals Drum and Bugle Corps. Paul enjoyed tennis, cycling, chess and computers. He was always quick with a laugh, and liked a good pun. Paul’s greatest pleasure came from spending time with his children and family. Being an only child, he became a loving father not only to his own children, but to their friends as well.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by seven children, Paul N. Chalifour Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of Boxford, Anne Marie Marshall and her husband, Robert of Peabody, Alvah John Chalifour and his wife, Patricia of Beverly, Nancy J. Chalifour and partner, Carole Spencer of Guilford, Conn., David Chalifour and his wife, Kimberlee of Beverly, Maureen Anderson and her husband Paul of Beverly, and Gail Kerr and her husband, Thomas of Stouffville, Ontario; sister-in-law, Gloria Turcotte of Danvers; brothers-in-law, Edward J. Bushey and his wife Sheila of Beverly and Norman K. Bushey and his wife, Beverly of Beverly; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Saturday at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location), on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
