Newton, N.H. — Donald “Rick” Fournier, 53, of Newton, N.H., passed away peacefully the morning of December 13, 2012. He passed unexpectedly, much too soon. Rick was a loving husband and proud father. He lived his life surrounded by close friends and family. He was a soft-spoken, thoughtful man, loved by all, who will greatly be missed.
Rick was born in Fayetteville, N.C., and grew up in Salem, Mass. Rick attended the Essex Agricultural and Technical School in Danvers, where he met the love of his life Kathy, and formed many of his lasting relationships.
Rick’s passion for agriculture from an early age helped to shape the man we know and love. Rick truly enjoyed all that nature had to offer, his other interests included cooking, music, exploring, and caring for his many treasured animals.
Rick leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years Kathy J. (Moore) Fournier, his daughter Heather Fournier & her husband James Elliott; his adored sister Debbie Doucette & her husband Tom Doucette; His dogs Chico & the entire Yorkie pack; and many other friends & family.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private memorial is to be held in his memory at a later date. Donations may by made in Rick’s name to the National Audubon Society or to the Arbor Day Foundation.
