  • Jeanne Fisher, 90

    Nahant, MA — Jeanne (Ladd) Fisher of Nahant, wife of the late Robert W. Fisher, died Thursday, June 26, 2014. She was born in Swampscott, and was the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Moulton) Ladd. She attended Swampscott schools and graduated from Swampscott High School, Class of 1941, and Burdett College. She won national acclaim as a drum majorette, winning four national championships with the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars, World’s Fair and State Titles. For many years, she was a well-known baton twirling judge. She led the old Dorchester Post 65 A.L. Drum and Bugle Corps of Boston and the Lt. Norman Prince Post 1506, VFW Band of Malden. Her lifetime interest and association with drum corps and bands afforded the opportunity to travel extensively in the United States and Europe.

  • Elidio "Lee" Palocci, 84

    Freedom, N.H., formerly of Beverly — Mr. Elidio “Lee” Palocci passed away on Thursday at the Beverly Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was 84. Born and raised in Mentana, Italy, he was the son of the late Pietro and Carolina (Micheli) Palocci. He was the only member of his family to immigrate to the United States and in the late 1950s he became a U.S. citizen, proudly displaying his citizenship certificate. A laborer by trade, he settled in Beverly and was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local 22. Following his retirement, Lee enjoyed the woods of New Hampshire and settled in Freedom, N.H. where he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a member of the Carol County Sportsmen Club and former member of Danvers Fish and Game Club. He will be remembered as a hard-working man who loved the outdoors, and above all is family.

Nana of Jessica, Matthew, Michael, Jackie, Melissa, Manny, Jo-Anna, Andrew, Zachary, Kevin, Courtney, Megan and Allyson, as well as great-grandmother of 10. She is also survived by two sisters, Genevieve McCoole and Geraldine Robbins Chace, and was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Martin, Robert, John and Helen.

Sister of Mary E. Cruddas of North Carolina, Ann Caroline Ando of New Jesey, and the late Francis A. O’Hara, Nora C. Woods, Kathleen Treacy, Elizabeth P. Murphy, Margaret M. Bouchard, Thomas and Sally O’Hara. Devoted grandmother of Morgan, Annabelle, Derek, and Ryan Malloy, Makayla and Brooke Malloy, Timothy and his wife, Madonna Migneault, Daniel Migneault, Caitlin Malloy, Evan and Emma Malloy, and Amanda Smith. Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews. Joan was a member of the Beverly Farms Women’s golf and bowling leagues. Her family would like to thank all of the employees at the Fresenius Dialysis Center for their loving care.
