  • Richard Edmund Bohn, 79

    Beverly — Richard E. Bohn, 79, passed away May 26, at Brentwood Nursing Center in Danvers, Mass., after a long battle with mental illness and its subsequent complications. He was born on Feb. 13, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio and was married to Patricia Sams (deceased) and had six children. He spent 35 years with his second wife, Irene Emma Klausova, with whom he had many years of happiness. They enjoyed camping, traveling and time with children and grandchildren, along with many hours of playing Rummy. Richard was an electronics engineer who was the lead member of the design team which produced Intel’s first product, the i3101 64-bit RAM chip which began Intel's ascension to becoming a semiconductor industry leader. He also worked for Fairchild, Sylvania, Transitron and finally Gould Electronics before retiring due to his illness.

    Lynn, MA — Stavroula Mazareas, 96, died of natural causes at her home in Lynn, with her son, Peter and granddaughter, Christi by her side. Born in Flint, Mich. to Greek immigrant parents, the family soon returned to Greece, where Stavroula grew up in the Mani village of Neohori. It was there that she met her husband, the late Fotios Mazareas, with whom she would have three children.

She was the loving wife of 35 years to Mehran Nasser-Ghodsi, and daughter of Dorothy (Gordon) Bishlawi and the late Morad Bishlawi. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Nadia and Navine; her granddaughter, Leila; her son-in-law, Sebastien; and her soon-to-be son-in-law, Jamie. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Randa; brothers-in-law, Mike, Farzin and Kayvan; sisters-in-law, Margaret and Christine; nieces, Sarah and Talia; and nephews, Navid and Rustam.

    Mashpee, MA — Priscilla K. Rollins, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Falmouth Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip A. Rollins, former District Attorney of Cape Cod and the Islands. She is survived by her son, Philip A. Rollins Jr. of East Dummerston, Vt.; and her daughter, Priscilla “Sam” Davis and her husband, John, of Ipswich. She leaves seven adored granddaughters, Alyssa Rollins, Abigail Davis, Rachel Davis, Madelynn Rollins, Julia Davis, Laura Rollins, and Anna Davis; as well as her sister, Sally Baum and her husband, Roy. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Alison Rollins, who died in a maritime accident in 1986 at the age of 21; and her brother, Jack Kingston.

    BROOKSVILLE, MAINE & BEVERLY — Barbara K. Larson, 90, died on Monday, May 5, at home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 30, 1923, in Wellington, Nova Scotia, and was the daughter of the late Chester and Kathleen Foote. She lived most of her life in Beverly, Mass., and after retirement, in West Brooksville, Maine. She graduated from St. Mary Star of the Sea High School and Emmanuel College in Boston. She earned a master's degree in English literature from Boston College. After raising nine children, Barbara became a consumer advocate for the North Shore Health Planning Council. After retirement, she moved to Maine, where she joined the volunteer staff at H.O.M.E. in Orland, Maine, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for low-income and homeless families.

She was the beloved wife of the late David Teller. Born in Malden, she was a graduate of Malden High School. Gloria was the dear daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha (Jacobs) Joseph. She began her singing career and veteran’s service while growing up in Malden during WW II at the age of 15; she entertained at army camps with the USO singing the national anthem and continued her singing career locally and nationally until her passing.

    Salem — William M. Graham, (Billy) 59, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 21, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was the son of the late Shirley (Falkingham) and William Graham Sr. Bill was born in Cambridge, raised in Peabody and a graduate from the Peabody Vocational High School, Class of 1972. He worked for EG & G in Salem for 20 years and most recently working for HI Tek Power in Georgetown for the past 14 years. Bill was an avid hunter, and fisherman, and was a member of the Danvers fish and game club. His passion was music and playing the guitar. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

  • Scuba diver identified

    The district attorney's office has identified the man who died Tuesday in an apparent drowning while scuba diving approximately 2 miles off of Marblehead Harbor. He is Gregory Cole, 58, of Westfield.

    Foul play is not suspected.  The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.  The facts and circumstances leading up to his death remain under investigation.
