The shopping cart was sitting in a space reserved for a car. If whoever left it there was somewhat disabled, pregnant or carrying a kid, I could understand why he or she didn't take a few seconds to wheel it five spaces over and into the place reserved for empty carts. Otherwise, just what is it with the laziness, the indifference, the thoughtlessness, the ignorance and the apathy so increasingly noticeable among us these days?
