Letter: Thank you for caring during storm warning

To the editor:

I would like to commend Home Depot in Danvers for their response to the tornado warning on Monday, July 1. While shopping, I was approached by a salesperson that due to tornado warnings in the area, I could either exit the store immediately or go to either of the two back rooms to join the salespersons for safety. What impressed me the most was that the people in charge cared more for the shoppers and their workforce than making more sales. In the hour that we were there, the salespersons offered frozen treats, cookies, potato chips and bottled water. They even provided coloring books and crayons for the children. All of us mixed in together as one caring community. Congratulations to all those who work as a team at our Danvers Home Depot.
