Letter: Thank you to Salem Hospital

To the editor:

I have many reasons for why I love living in Salem: its history, waterfront, university, fantastic Peabody Essex Museum, tolerance, growth and vibrancy.

Now to that I add a great medical facility at our back door, Salem Hospital. I had to have an outpatient minor surgical procedure performed, and I came away so impressed not just about the expertise of everybody who attended to my needs but the caring of each one, as well as my surgeon, Dr. Michael Callum, who is a gem!

It’s so easy to take everything and everyone in the medical profession for granted, and I’m not sure how often we pause to let them know how much we appreciate all that they do. That’s the reason for this letter, a simple thank you, muchas gracias and todah rabah.
