Letter: Quality radio should be praised

To the editor:

Remember WESX, the Salem radio station actually in Marblehead? There was Al Needham, Norm Durkee, etc. If you’re old enough, Nelson Bragg.

Some weeks ago, I heard no-school reports on a Boston area station, and my mind went back to WESX. What a “homey” station it was, just made for “no-school reports.” Where are the stations and people now? These institutions should be praised while they’re still with us.
