Letter: In praise of the Danvers Senior Center

To the editor:

I would like to commend, compliment and recommend a raise for all staff members of the Danvers Senior Center. If the volunteers of the center could get some sort of reward, they also are entitled to something.

I have been going there this past year and am so happy to have started attending and meeting the fine friends and staff there. Everyone goes the extra mile to help out the senior citizens. We even have visits from school children, which makes it more enjoyable. The afternoon luncheon is a time for good camaraderie and nutritious meals. The many activities make life very enjoyable for many of us.

I recently met Town Manager Wayne Marquis and told him how great the staff is at the Danvers Senior Center and said one should not hesitate to reward them.
