Letter: Angie Miller sets a great example

To the editor:

My wife and I attended an event last week at the Topsfield Fair that was a “breath of fresh air.”

Angie Miller of “American Idol” fame via Beverly High school performed to a capacity crowd of all ages. High school students, college students, families, retirees like ourselves, we all enjoyed beautifully presented music from Ms. Miller and her brother’s band plus a beautiful duet with a fellow contestant from the Idol show.

Considering the foolishness and the sexual orientation of the entertainment world today, young people like Angie Miller and country singer Scotty McCreary, another Idol winner, are desperately needed to show their peers that all the extra gyrations are vulgar and not needed.
