Letter: Decker a collaborative leader

To the editor:

Maria Decker is a collaborative and supportive School Committee member and colleague to other school committees across Massachusetts. She provides a wealth of information to share and exchanges best practices with other school committees. As a former member of the Swampscott School Committee, she provided valuable information by meeting with our committee to help us establish a Grants and Student Life Subcommittee. Her love of the Beverly Public Schools and her community is evident and contagious. She is continuously trying to improve the quality of education and student experience. Maria was a pleasure to work with and immediately fostered a collegial and collaborative environment, even when controversial topics were discussed. I strongly encourage the residents of Beverly to re-elect Maria Decker on election day to continue to foster collaborative school relationships across the commonwealth.
