Letter: Time to get rid of unions

To the editor:

Unions were great entities in the past. Before laws and civil rights were passed to protect employees, unions did the job for the employee. Now that we have the laws and public opinion behind the employee, why do we need both?

The unions in America are still fighting the employer, as well as the laws that protect them. Unions are shaping our governments now, even though we the people have elected public officials and these officials have passed laws they feel protect the employee.

Please help eliminate the unions in America that only take today and never give back. They take from their members only to stand up and get more from the employers and our governments.

Stop the unions, the dinosaurs of our time, and let the free market push forward.
