Letter: In support of physician-assisted suicide

To the editor:

I do not oppose physician-assisted suicide. I do believe in physician’s assistance.

When a husband or wife, lying in a bed, is told, “There’s nothing more I can do for you” and is all skin and bones, can’t talk, cannot eat and is suffering, yes, I believe in physician assistance.

How could you look at someone every day who is so sick, and not feel guilty?

We all don’t want to lose a loved one, but when there is no hope whatsoever, let them die in peace.

How many times have you heard of people putting their animal to sleep because they are so sick? It’s the right thing to do.
