Letter: Residents do Beverly proud

To the editor:

What a pleasant front page on March 5! First, there was the story of Fred Butler’s honorary graduation from Beverly High School (”A graduate at age 106”). That was a very happy experience for him and his family. I often asked about Mr. Butler and his late wife, Ruth, when Fred’s son was doing carpentry work at my house in Hamilton. He always said, “He’s doing OK.” In my opinion, Jim takes after his dad, as he, too, is hardworking and honest. And second, there was the front-page story about Beverly’s own “American Idol,” Angela Miller (”Beverly’s ‘Idol’ performs live tonight”). We wish her success with all the hard work she is doing for her music career. Congratulations to these wonderful Beverly residents.
