Joseph Doyle's July 24 column on the gaming bill was the best summary of the situation I have ever read. I wish it had statewide exposure.
My wife and I are no longer on the fence and have a concern that he did not mention, which is the terrible practice of plying people, especially the elderly, with free alcoholic drinks in order to "loosen them up."
