Letter: Pinto for Salem council

To the editor:

Steve Pinto is the only announced candidate who has been both a recent member of the council and a councilor-at-large. Steve is a lifelong Salem resident, and he understands the things that make Salem special.

He has a track record of independence and objectivity. His votes demonstrate understanding and balance of business and neighborhood needs. He represented all Salem citizens, not any particular ward or interest. I believe that his experience and obvious commitment to Salem make him the best replacement for Joan Lovely’s at-large slot.
