Letter: Kudos to the Hawthorne Hotel

To the editor:

I just want to say bravo to Juli Lederhaus and the Hawthorne Hotel staff in general for helping the Boys & Girls Club replace the stolen TVs and for being good to the people of Salem. How anyone could steal anything from such a wonderful organization helping Salem youths with their excellent programming is baffling to me.

I have my own reasons to be grateful to the Hawthorne Hotel, as well. As a former resident of 98 Washington Square displaced due to the fire of March 2011, the hotel put many of us up that night at a drastically reduced rate and did anything they could to make us feel comfortable.

Thank you again, Hawthorne Hotel, for your community support and caring.

Happy holidays and thank you for all of your wonderful Christmas activities and decorations!
