Thanks from the Gables

To the editor:

On behalf of The House of The Seven Gables, I would like to thank the community for the incredible level of support they showed at our Sept. 29 fundraiser, Taste of The Gables. More than 250 people gathered on our beautiful waterfront grounds and enjoyed tastings from more than 30 restaurants, caterers, vintners, brewers and sweet shops. The air was filled with music and laughter. People bid generously on our auction items and helped the Gables make significant progress toward our goal of matching a $150,000 grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. We gratefully acknowledge Eastern Bank as the event’s Gold Sponsor. Thank you as well to all of the attendees, committee members, sponsors, donors, participating vendors, the band, volunteers and staff. Because of your generosity and good spirit, the night was a huge success.

Stay tuned to our website ( and Facebook page as we will soon announce the date for our 2014 Taste of The Gables.
