Letter: Thanks from the Haven Project

To the editor:

On behalf of the homeless and unaccompanied young adults served by The Haven Project, I am writing to express our heartfelt thanks to CinemaSalem, Eastern Bank, and Kristin and Harry Zarkades, owners of The Grapevine Restaurant, for their support of our Sept. 19 screening and panel discussion, which highlighted the needs and successes of homeless young adults on the North Shore served by The Haven Project.

The evening was a tremendous success, drawing attendance from individuals and organizations across the North Shore and raising much-needed funds to help support The Haven Project as it builds resources for this underserved population. Since opening its program doors less than a year ago, The Haven Project has helped more than 100 homeless young adults transition to independence by providing basic needs, job counseling and housing support.
