Letter: Business community helped make tournament a success

To the editor:

What a success! The Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce members had a great time at our annual golf tournament on June 9. We received rave reviews. It was great to see the local business community come together and support the Greater Beverly Chamber. We had close to 100 golfers who enjoyed great weather and a beautiful day of golf. Plus, we had an additional 30 people who joined us for our auction and dinner. A portion of the funds raised will go to the Greater Beverly YMCA’s Be Healthy Beverly program.

The tournament results are as follows;

First place and Bankers Cup: Team Eastern Bank — Ed Lomansey, John Aucone, Luke Allain and Nick Zolotas;

Second place: Team Rockport National Bank — Stephen VanDerwerken, Anthony Rovedo, Kevin Olsen and James Lampropoulos;

Third place: Team Salem Five Bank — Brad Hunt, Andrew Cataldo, Veiko Huuskonen and Don Kelley;

Longest drive: Elizabeth O’Brien and Nick Zolotas;

Closest to pin: Bill Swanson

I would like to thank our Golf Committee for helping make our event a success: Kevin Bugler, co-chairman, Marblehead Bank; Dave Ray, co-chairman; Leslie S. Ray, Insurance; Rene Gagnon, McNeil’s Auto Body and Radiator; Andy Goldberg, Goldberg Properties; and Jill Michaud, Michaud Mitsubishi.
