Letter: Keeping Pioneer Village open

To the editor:

It is with great pride and happiness that I read of Elizabeth Peterson, director of the Witch House; Bob Callahan, Parks & Recreation board member; and Karen Partanen, director of Park, Recreation and Community Services, working to continue the operation of Pioneer Village.

It was my great pleasure to be the director of the Pioneer Village restoration from 1986 to 1992. We were able to get the village restored and to provide interpretive programming in those years.

What a great cultural resource, into the 21st century.

Again, my thanks to you all for keeping our Pioneer Village open for future generations.
