Letter: Bundy doesn't deserve columnist's support

To the editor:

Congratulations to Barbara Anderson. She continues to surprise me with the new lows she hits in her so-called journalism. She supports, admittedly through her own research, Cliven Bundy. He is an avowed racist who has stated more than once, “The blacks were better off as slaves picking cotton, and they couldn’t do that right.” But to Barbara Anderson, he’s a patriot, fighting for his freedom, those very same freedoms that he is willing to deny others. Cliven Bundy owes the federal government, in which he does not believe, approximately $1 million, contrary to what Barbara Anderson states. These are monies from land use fees, as well as taxes. His theory is “Why pay anything to an entity that you don’t believe in?” Barbara Anderson is great at calling out those on unemployment and welfare as the “takers,” but she’s willing to give this racist a free ride because he’s a patriot in her eyes. Barbara, put down your Zane Grey, turn off “Rawhide” and come into the real world.

You riding off into the sunset, on your favorite steed, hollering “yippie ki-yay” to save Cliven Bundy is more than I can take. Otherwise “Go West, Barbara, go West!”
