Letter; Poll worker thanks a generous stranger

To the editor:

I’m writing this to say a giant thank you to one of the Peabody constituents who unexpectedly brought both coffee and doughnuts to the staff who works at polls for the Peabody voting precinct at McCarthy School.

This was a total surprise and an unexpected treat. And unfortunately, I did not get to say thank you to this person directly.

My staff all worked very hard on Election Day, and to know someone thought of us enough to extend this generosity was wonderful.

Again, thank you to the donor and thanks for thinking of us on Election Day.
