Letter: Grateful for anonymous, kind person

The Salem News

---- — To the editor:

A thank you to persons unknown.

After shopping at Stop & Shop in North Beverly on Aug. 2, I loaded my groceries in my car and placed a stamped, addressed envelope on the top of my car. I was going to mail it at the closest mailbox.

Unfortunately I got distracted and drove off.

About 15 minutes later I realized that I hadn’t mailed the card. I was late and couldn’t go back.

On Monday, my daughter and her husband received their anniversary card. It was on their anniversary day.

Some sweet and caring person had mailed it from Boston.

Thank you so much.
