Column: A unique opportunity for Salem students, parents


The House of the Seven Gables Schooner Camp. Camp runs from July 8-12 for students ages 10-13. Hours are 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The captain of the schooner Fame and the education specialist for the Salem Maritime National Historic Site will teach students Salem history along with sailing skills.

Architectural Lab. Community Architectural Lab is a nonprofit, studio-based workshop that teaches problem-solving skills and cross-disciplinary thinking through the design and fabrication of three-dimensional objects. This weeklong studio is both a computer lab and a woodworking shop. Registration is open for classes in July and August.
