Letter: Thanks from St. Richard Parish

To the editor:

The St. Richard 50th Anniversary Committee would like to thank all those involved with the April $1,000 Gift Card Calendar Raffle at St. Richard Parish. It was a win, win, win for everyone involved, raising $5,131.50 toward the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

A special thank you to Julie McCarriston for initiating and chairing this fundraiser; her committee of Marge Leonard and Patty Chisholm; our top seller, Judy Cassidy; and the parishioners of St. Richard Parish for their support. A job well done!

Route 1 SportsPlex collaborated with St. Richard’s for a Family Fun Day on Saturday, April 6. Colleen Newbury, chairwoman, along with the St. Mary’s of Lynn girls softball team, organized game stations for families with children in grades one to five. SportsPlex opened their batting cages, and everyone enjoyed pizza donated by Danvers House of Pizza. Thanks for a wonderful family day of fun!

The 50th Anniversary Celebration continues at St. Richard Parish this Sunday with our 50th Anniversary Mass. A reception will immediately follow on the church grounds. Please join us!
