Letter: Thank you, Danvers

To the editor:

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the voters who came out to vote in last Tuesday’s election. While the results did not return me to the job, I appreciate the opportunity to have served this great town for the past nine years.

Over that time, I met quite a few remarkable people, including Charlie and Ann Toomey, Nelson and Louise Riley, Thad and Helen Litchfield, Bill and Virginia Trask (no relation) and so many others that made the job enjoyable. I was not always able to achieve the results that they, and others, sought, but helping them however I could, and explaining the process along the way, was very rewarding.

I am encouraged by both of the newly seated selectmen and have offered them both all of the support that I can give. I hope they find the job as challenging and as rewarding as I did.

Keith Lucy

Former Selectman
