Letter: New candidate could use ‘basic training’

To the editor:

Seth Moulton of Marblehead has announced his intentions to unseat Congressman John Tierney. That’s his prerogative, but when he gives his reason that he’s frustrated with Congress and wants to change things?

With all due respect to his service to the nation in the Marines and his three degrees from Harvard, he’s a babe in the woods and pretty naive! My suggestion to Mr. Moulton if he wants to get his feet wet in politics is to begin with Basic Training at the local level, experience how things work, then run for a state office, similar to the path of Joan Lovely.

As a veteran, we have no better friend in Congress than John Tierney; as a senior citizen, we have no better friend in Congress than John Tierney. He listens and he acts in our best interest. He has my trust and my vote because he deserves it!
