Letter: Taxing times demand change in leadership

To the editor:

Thanks to Taylor Armerding ("Public employees, get real!" Viewpoint, Monday, July 13) for detailing the lies, broken promises and taxpayer robbery of Gov. Deval Patrick and his administration — with no end in sight as gasoline taxes, tolls and licenses/permits will be added to our burden!

How easy to spend money when one's hands are in someone else's pockets!

Like so many others, it is apparent Gov. Patrick does not take his job seriously since it is obviously a steppingstone to higher office. Unfortunately, those steppingstones are the backs of the overburdened taxpayers.

Let us hope that Mr. Armerding or this newspaper will remind us of the criminality of our "elected officials" — local, state and national — come election time!

Or maybe it's time to light the torches and bring out the pitchforks!
