Letter: Thanks from Beverly Democrats

To the editor:

The Beverly Democratic City Committee would like to thank the many volunteers who supported our coordinated campaign grass-roots effort in the recent election. More than 200 volunteers from Beverly and other neighboring communities put in thousands of hours making phone calls, canvassing both locally and in New Hampshire, staffing headquarters, doing mailings, and numerous other tasks. Also, thanks to all who contributed financially so that we could open and run a vital and effective campaign headquarters.

Of course, we were delighted with the results of the election: re-electing President Obama and Congressman John Tierney, electing Elizabeth Warren U.S. senator, Joan Lovely state senator, and Eileen Duff to the Governor’s Council.

We sincerely appreciate the efforts of all those who made this success possible.

Duane Anderson

Chairman

Beverly Democratic City Committee
