Thanks: Congressman stood strong for affordable health care

To the editor:

I would like express my appreciation to Congressman John Tierney for voting to pass the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

Thank you, congressman, for not bowing to pressure from the insurance giants and their lobbyists and for standing up for me and my family.

My husband and I are members of the "sandwich generation." Although recently retired, we are still struggling with a mortgage, repayment of student loans and the increasing cost of living, particularly health care expenses. Lower health insurance premiums will make a difference in the quality of our life.
