Letter: Thank you, residents of Ryal Side

Lastly, it would behoove me to mention my tenure with Mayor Scanlon. I served with him for 18 years and it has been a pleasure to have been a part of his team, working together, to bring Beverly to the desirable place it is. Mayor Scanlon had the uncanny ability and business background to promote an idea, find a way to fund the idea and put the idea on a map. When he ran out of city resources, he looked to the state. He got involved with the Massachusetts Municipal Association and numerous other organizations at the state level to pursue the awarded grants for our waterfront. I respect and honor this man for what he has done for the city of Beverly.
