Letter: Unity is missing

To the editor:

This is in reference to the April 22 article “A step toward unity.” How odd, and full of irony. What is the real message from the Catholic Church?

Married Catholic men may not be ordained. Catholic priests must be celibate and not marry. Women may not be ordained.

But ... if you are an Episcopal priest who is homophobic, anti-choice, or against the ordination of women and the installation of women or openly gay bishops, you are welcome.

How sad.
