Letter: Parking garages and safety

To the editor:

It was recently reported on the news that a man was shot at an upper level in a parking garage. The responding ambulance was unable to enter the garage because the height of emergency vehicle could not clear the overhead at the entrance.

Salem has two parking garages that I know of, and I wonder if there is a clearance problem with them providing access to area emergency vehicles. Now is the time to determine if someone may be in trouble should they have a medical emergency.
