Letter: Mourning the passing of a Salemite

To the editor:

I was saddened to read recently of the death of notable Salemite William Russell “Bill” Burns. Bill, with deep maternal Salem roots, was a leader in the preservation cause locally.

He was a forceful speaker for the past at various meetings.

He will be missed. Bill Burns was the elegant speaker for the Witch City.
