Letter: Photographer doing 'extraordinary' work

To the editor:

What Anthony Pira is doing to put a face on youth homelessness (“Salem photographer puts face on homelessness,” Feb. 11) is extraordinary.

He is giving these young people, many of whom through no fault of their own are alone and on the street, a voice. He also appears to be empowering them and showing them that they have value. I hope he inspires a movement that will eventually solve this problem.

What a wonderful example of the real-world positive changes in which Salem State’s social work students are engaged!
