To the editor:
Leave it to Salem State to come up with a speaker who left Congress in 1999 under a dark cloud.
Newt Gingrich almost single-handedly delivered the necessary votes to pass the job and sovereignty-robbing North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) debacle through Congress.
Instead of stumping for president, he should've been begging for forgiveness for helping to place another nail in this country's coffin.
