New England Homes for the Deaf in Danvers recently received a grant from the Verizon Foundation for $10,000, which will help provide Certified American Sign Language interpreters.

CinemaSalem's monthly grant of $1,000 has been awarded to the Salem Theatre Company this month, and it will be used to fund July 2010 "Moments of Play" festival of original theater.

Health and Education Services Inc., the behavioral health affiliate of Northeast Health System, recently received a $167,000 grant over three years from The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation, for training clinicians in the collaborative problem solving approach to understanding and helping kids with behavioral problems.
