Robert and Frances (Muise) McLaughlin of Peabody are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 8, 2009. They were married in 1959.
Their children are Bruce and Cindy McLaughlin of Chester, N.H., Wayne McLaughlin of Peabody, Cheryl McLaughlin of Portsmouth, N.H., and Brian and Kathy McLaughlin of Peabody. There are 10 grandchildren.
Frances is a native of Peabody. Robert is a native of Salem.
The couple's secret to a happy marriage is love, commuication, and allowing each other to be the person you fell in love with.
