Thomas and Maureen Macaro of Beverly are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Sara Macaro to Stephen Tkachuk, son of David Tkacuk of Burnham, Maine and Joyce Cronin of Salem.
Sara is a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 2000. She works at Maureen Macaro's School of Classical Ballet in Beverly as a Dance Instructor.
Stephen is a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 2000. He works at Rainbow Production Services (specializing on touring and concert productions) in Atkinson, N.H. as an Automated Lighting Technician.
Sara and Steve were attracted to each other in high school but did not meet until early December in 2000 at North Shore Community College. Steve saw Sara waiting in the hallway for someone and decided to go over and talk to her. He asked her out and seven years later, they got engaged.
A Sept. 18, 2009 wedding is planned.
