Helping horses help people
The staff at Salon Bogart in Manchester is hosting "Hot to Trot," a dance benefit for Wind-rush Farm in Boxford, which offers therapeutic equitation for the disabled. FOOD DRIVE. Sen. Fred Berry is holding a food drive and challenges the community to fill the six largest food pantries in the Second Essex Senate District. Donations will be collected Sunday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5 Hutchinson Drive in Danvers, in the parking area next to Hollywood Hits. Of particular need are nonperishable food items (baked beans, rice, canned soup, tuna and veggies, peanut butter, cereal, pasta sauce, and macaroni and cheese), toiletry items, and child and baby care products. The event will include games and entertainment for children, and contributors are eligible for a free raffle ticket.
