Salem

Thursday

r James J. Shagoury, 45, of 355 North St., Tewksbury, was arrested at 286 Washington St. at 9:43 p.m. and charged with trespassing. Police had served him with a no-trespassing order for this address on March 11.

Friday

r A nurse at Salem Hospital reported at 1:29 a.m. that she had been struck in the neck by an intoxicated patient. The nurse had a red mark on the right side of her neck, police said, and a sergeant with Salem Hospital security had witnessed the assault and battery. Police said they plan to summons Wendolyn Etienne, 19, of 34 Fox St., Dorchester, to court on an assault and battery charge.

r Police responded to a report at 9:51 a.m. that someone stole scrap steel from the side of a building at 305 Highland Ave.

r Police responded to a report at 11 a.m. of a large mastiff blocking traffic on Loring Avenue by a stretch of road known as "dead man's curve." Police caught the dog and took him to Danvers Animal Hospital, and the Salem owner was called to fetch the large dog.

Peabody

Thursday

r Jose A. Paniaqua, 34, of 19 Nahant St., Apt. 3, Lynn, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. in the vicinity of St. Ann Church on Lynn Street and charged with driving with a suspended license.

r Two windows were reported smashed at Casa Portugal, 96 Tremont St., at 8:08 p.m. The alarm sounded, but nothing was reported taken from the store. Police gave the owner a number to call to have the windows boarded up.

r Damage to a vending machine was reported at Peabody High, 485 Lowell St. The machine was damaged between 5 and 9:30 p.m.

r Lori A. Stewart-Coletti, 43, of 2 Caruso Court, Peabody, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. on Roosevelt Avenue and charged with drunken driving and a marked lanes violation.

r A caller driving on Winnegance Avenue reported seeing a man run out into the street and wave a knife at him as he drove by at 11:15 p.m. Officers could not locate the man.

Friday

r Police received a report of two males fighting at Bill & Bob's Roast Beef on 2 Central St., at 1:36 a.m. Police did not locate any fight.

r Two rooms at the Carriage House Motel, Nos. 56 and 57, at 109 Newbury St., were reported trashed.

r A car reportedly struck a fire hydrant at 22 Goodale St. and left the scene at 10:01 a.m. Police plan to summons the operator, Richard Valenti, 17, of 15 Crane Ave., Peabody, for driving without a license and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

Beverly

Friday

r Police received a report a car may have struck a building at CCI Reprographics, 110 Cabot St., at 11:06 a.m. No one saw the accident, but the reporting party said they noticed damage to the rear corner of the building, some broken bricks and a cracked door frame. Someone may have backed into the building, police said.

r A deer was reported down in the roadway in the vicinity of 719 Cabot St. at 11:16 a.m.

r Police cruiser No. 904 was involved in a fender-bender at the North Beverly Food Mart at 5 Dodge St. A driver backed into the cruiser. No one was injured, and the cruiser is still in service.

r Kelsey Beth Litka, 23, of 49 Putnam St., Beverly, was arrested at 1:42 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery. Police received a 911 call from a female screaming on the other end of the phone. Police said the matter allegedly involved an argument between sisters.

Danvers

Thursday

r Vehicles were reported broken into at the Hardcover Restaurant, 15 Newbury St. (Route 1), at 6:34 p.m., at the Strike One Sports Complex, 199 Newbury St., at 6:50 p.m. and at the Sheraton Ferncroft Resort, 50 Ferncroft Road, at 7:18 p.m. Last night, police could not say whether the car breaks were related.

r Keon Santos, 29, of 10 Dorr St., Roxbury, was arrested at Circuit City, 4 Newbury St., at 3:15 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and a marked lanes violation.

r Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at BJ's Wholesale Club, 6 Hutchinson Drive, at 9:55 a.m.

r A pedestrian reportedly stepped out onto Endicott Street and suffered cuts when struck by a vehicle's mirror at 8:20 p.m.
