March 26, 2008 08:44 pm DANVERS — Members of the Kiwanis Club of Danvers will have their hands full Saturday flipping thousands of flapjacks for the annual Pancake Festival at Danvers High School. Ever wonder what it takes to feed the masses breakfast for six hours? Here are some pancake festival facts, provided by Selectman Dan Bennett, a Kiwanis Club member: Number of years the festival has run (including this one): 38 Attendance: 1,000 No. of pancakes served: 3,000 Pounds of pancake batter: 500 Pounds of blueberries in the mix: 80 Pounds of ham served: 100 Quarts of orange juice poured: 36 Amount raised last year: $15,000 to $18,000
