BEVERLY — Residents who plan to spend the weekend cleaning their yards will be glad to know there will be someplace to bring the stuff.
The city's compost site on Standley Street will open for the year on Monday. The site will be open on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents can bring leaves, grass clippings and branches up to 2 inches in diameter.
Curbside pickup of leaf bags will be held from April 28 through May 23 on your recycling pickup day.
Two other annual spring cleaning events are also coming up. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for April 26, and Electronics Collection Day is May 17, both in the high school parking lot.
