New principal to start July 1 at Doyon School

IPSWICH — David Archambault, a Newburyport elementary school principal, has been named to replace Doyon School Principal Ken Cooper, who is retiring.

Archambault will assume his duties on July 1.

He is certified as a prekindergarten-through-grade-six principal and holds a master's degree in education. He lives in Exeter, N.H.

For the last two years, Arch-ambault has been principal of Edward G. Molin Upper Elementary School in Newburyport. Before that, he was principal of the Brown and Kelley elementary schools, also in Newburyport, for one year. He previously served three years as assistant principal of Chester Academy in Chester, N.H.

Cooper has been the principal of Doyon School since 1987.

Approximately 490 students from prekindergarten through grade five attend the school.
