SALEM — The city's first plant sale will take place Saturday morning on the Salem Common.
Annuals, perennials, azaleas, hydrangea bushes and hanging baskets will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the city's Beautification Committee.
Rain barrels, composters, garden-spray nozzles and recycling bins will also be sold by the Recycling Committee task force.
Local residents and businesses can also register for the city's window box competition, which will take place later this year. And gardening gift baskets donated by the Beautification Committee and the Salem Garden Club will also be awarded.
The sale runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The rain date is Sunday.
