Thursday

r Someone broke a window of a business at 265 Rantoul St. overnight.

r At 5:30 p.m., police were alerted to a suspicious man wearing a camouflage jacket who had been acting "odd" and videotaping kids at Lynch Park. Police saw the man put the camera inside his jacket, but he said he didn't want it to get wet. He got agitated as police talked to him, and he said he'd been there since 1 p.m. Police checked for warrants and then had to leave to direct traffic.

r After at 10:51 p.m. accident, an ambulance took a man to the hospital when he complained of lower back pain. Police spent a half-hour on the scene at Story Avenue and Bresnahan Court.

Friday

r John P. Remondi, 19, of 240 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. and charged with assault and battery after he told police he'd pushed a woman out of his apartment.

r Three officers responded to a large fight reported at The Press Box at 12:41 a.m.

Thursday

r At 9:53 a.m., someone gave police a BB gun for destruction.

r At 11:08 a.m., police investigated a reported break-in at the First Church of Christ, 35 Washington St.

r A computer was reported stolen at 3:29 p.m. from a West Shore Drive home.

Salem

Thursday

r A Collins Middle School student told police at 4:21 p.m. that he'd been punched in the mouth by another student.

r A Beverly man riding a bicycle at 5:43 p.m. on Lafayette Street was bumped by a car, whose driver did not wait for police. The bike wasn't damaged, and a police officer gave the bicyclist a ride home.

r An aggressive Cousins Street dog threatened a neighbor and a delivery person around 5:45 p.m. Police sent a report to the animal control officer.

r Petronio N. DaSilva, 24, of 47 S. Prospect St., Bradford, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. and charged with driving without a license and failure to obey a traffic sign after incidents along Essex Street.
