SWAMPSCOTT -- One man is in custody at Salem Hospital following a double stabbing outside the Jewish Rehabilitation Center on Paradise Road on Saturday.
The stabbing happened at 6:40 a.m. in the center's parking lot.
Swampscott police are calling the stabbing "domestic related" and are "not looking for any other suspects."
The female victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and is in stable condition, awaiting surgery, according to Swampscott police Detective Ted Delano.
The male victim suffered self-inflicted injuries and is being treated at Salem Hospital. He is also in stable condition, police said.
He is charged with attempted murder but police are not yet releasing his name.
The man will be arraigned at either Lynn District Court or Salem Hospital Monday.
The incident is under investigation by Swampscott police and state police assigned to the Essex County District Attorney's office.
Police said they are not releasing the identities of the parties involved pending notification of family.
