Salem

Tuesday

r A man walked into the police station at 8 p.m. to report that, while at the Hess gas station on Derby Street or at the Dunkin' Donuts on lower Bridge Street between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m., someone entered his unlocked car and stole checks. The eight stolen checks were made out to various utilities for bill payment. The checks were not endorsed. Police advised the man to report the thefts to his bank.

r Ezekiel Y. Glover, 17, of 52 Peabody St., Salem; Marshall R. Glover, 17, of 52 Peabody St., Salem; Bryan N. Ortiz, 17, of 12 Langdon St., Salem; and a juvenile were arrested at 8:49 p.m. and charged with trespassing after police spotted the men behind 53 Harbor St. Police Sgt. Marc Berube and Patrolman Kevin St. Pierre were assigned to patrol The Point. Ezekiel Glover was also charged with disorderly conduct.

r Steven P. Gaulin, 40, of 56 Margin St., Salem, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. and charged with drinking in public at Lafayette Park.

Wednesday

r Police received a report at 9:38 a.m. that syringes were found on Memorial Drive.

r A business owner at 127 Essex St., reported to police at 10 a.m. that a window to her store was damaged.

r A laptop computer was reported stolen at 1:12 p.m. from a 203 Essex St. business currently under construction.

r Police took a report at 1:46 p.m. of damage to flower boxes at 131 Essex St.

Danvers

Tuesday

r Police received a report at 9 p.m. of a car break-in at Circuit City on Route 1.

Wednesday

r Police received a report at 7 a.m. of a car break-in at Big Lots on Route 1.

r Kevin Eng, 24, of 134 Putnam St., Methuen, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration and driving with no insurance following a motor vehicle stop on Commonwealth Avenue.

r Rosa Nicolau, 45, of 77 Locust St., Middleton, was arrested at 12:35 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and reckless driving following a report of road rage on North Putnam Street.

Peabody

Tuesday

r Gina M. Masella, 24, of 40 Marlborough Road, Salem, was arrested at 6 p.m. and charged with two counts of shoplifting at Sears.

r Santos Lopez, 33, of 81 Sagamore St., Apt. 1, Lynn, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. and charged with driving with a revoked license and a lights violation following a motor vehicle stop on Centennial Drive.

r Daniel T. Sigman, 31, of 50 Warren St., Apt. 214, Peabody, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. and charged with larceny worth more than $250 at his residence.

r Julio C. Morales Jr., 18, of 4 Robin Road, Peabody, was arrested at 3:33 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving with a suspended license and assault with a dangerous weapon following a motor vehicle crash on Clement Avenue.

Beverly

Wednesday

r Adam J. Gonyea, 26, of 100 Colonial Drive, Ipswich, was arrested at 3 a.m. and charged with breaking and entering to commit a misdemeanor and two counts of domestic assault and battery at a Grover Street address.

Ipswich

Tuesday

r John J. Butler, 23, of 22 Lafayette St., Ipswich, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. by Ipswich police and deputy sheriffs from the Warrant Apprehension Unit of the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department. Butler, formerly of Wakefield, was wanted on 11 outstanding arrest warrants throughout the state for the past four years. Butler was also charged with disturbing the peace and resisting arrest after he was observed by officers walking a pit bull near the Ipswich train station, and subsequently he ran off when approached. A foot chase took place through the neighborhood, and he was caught after struggling with the arresting officers. Patrolman Ted Gallivan, Sgt. Judd Daly and Patrolman Jason Sinclair, along with members of the Sheriff's Department, made the arrest.
